De Boer Staal and De Boer Snijbedrijf are convinced that protecting the privacy of its clients and visitors to its website is vitally important for its activities. Every possible care is therefore taken when processing and securing personal information about clients and visitors. De Boer Staal and De Boer Snijbedrijf complies with the requirements of the Dutch Data Protection Act.

A description is given here of which personal data we can collect and how we might be able to use those data. Other important subjects relating to your privacy are discussed.

Which information do De Boer Staal and De Boer Snijbedrijf collect and why?

De Boer Staal and De Boer Snijbedrijf will collect only those personal data (such as job, title, name of the company, address, telephone number or e-mail address) that you supply voluntarily through our website or in e-mail correspondence. In addition, we collect general information such as the type of browser you use, the files you request, and the domain name and country from which you request information. This information is used to improve our website and to cater to your wishes.

What is this information used for?

The personal data that you supply to De Boer Staal and De Boer Snijbedrijf will be used to answer your questions, to supply you with the requested information about De Boer Staal and De Boer Snijbedrijf products and/or services or to execute your instructions. De Boer Staal and De Boer Snijbedrijf may call in third parties for the collection and processing of your personal data. If you have provided De Boer Staal and De Boer Snijbedrijf with your personal data and you wish to remove or make changes to those data, you are requested to get in touch with us. We will make all reasonable efforts to comply with your request.

Personal data of job applicants

All personal data transmitted to De Boer Staal and De Boer Snijbedrijf by a job applicant (personal data, CV, letter of motivation) will be managed carefully and confidentially in accordance with the GDPR act and will be solely used for the intended purpose. Personal data of job applicants are not provided to third parties.

Personal data of a job applicant are not kept longer than necessary. In the case of a restricted job application period, the personal data will be destroyed at the latest four weeks after the end of the job application procedure, unless the applicant has explicitly granted permission to keep his details for possible future vacancies up to one year after the end of the job application period. After this year the data will be destroyed.

Personal data transmitted by the job applicant by means of the application form and the uploading of files via the website are included in a database that is used to compare the applicant's data with vacancies within Roto B.V. and the affiliated companies.

When a job applicant provides personal information via an unsolicited application procedure, whether or not via the website, the applicant grants permission to keep this data in connection with possible future vacancies for a maximum of one year (in the database). After this year the data will be destroyed.

Rights of data subjects

De Boer Staal has a procedure "Rights of data subjects" in which it is laid down how De Boer Staal deals with the rights of data subjects: this means everyone whose personal data are recorded or processed by De Boer Staal. 

De Boer Staal will comply with the rights of data subjects in accordance with the provisions of the GDPR, whereby the data subject always has the right to lodge an objection or appeal or to file a complaint.  In that case, you can contact the Data Protection Officer (DPO).

The DPO ensures that data subjects can claim the legal rights and is responsible for handling requests on the basis of these rights. A request to exercise one or more of the aforementioned rights must be submitted in writing to c.bruin@rotogroep.nl or by post to Roto B.V., Molenstraat 28, 1911 DA Uitgeest.
