Sheet steel

De Boer Staal primarily stocks unalloyed steel. The properties of unalloyed steel are generally determined by the carbon content. In addition, De Boer Staal has a number of types of alloyed steel such as weather resistant plate steel and stainless steel.

Shipbuilding-grade steels

De Boer Staal sheet steel and profiles are primarily used in shipbuilding. This is why the greater part of our stock in Uitgeest consists of shipbuilding-grade steels ranging from Grade A to Grade EH36.

These steel plates have structural uses and are also used to repair a wide range of vessels, including navy vessels, passenger vessels, gas tankers, bulk carriers, dredgers and cutter-suction dredgers, but also for vessels that carry out maintenance and repair work for the offshore industry.
