When cutting steel, sharp edges or burring can arise. These are 'by-products' of the cutting process that can be removed. De Boer Snijbedrijf has various ways of doing this including edge finishing. This is a process in which a rounded-off radius or 30°/45° edge is applied to the contours of the product, resulting in a sharp 90° angle after cutting.
Edge finishing is just one of the possibilities for removing burrs. De Boer Snijbedrijf uses a rolling barrel to deburr smaller products.
