Steel has a high tensile strength and hardness, making the material highly suitable for, among other things, structures used in the building trade. Widely used steels are S235 and S355. Steel provides unprecedented possibilities, not only as a free-standing construction material, but also in combinations of different building materials such as concrete, wood and plastic.
With effect from 1 July 2014, all components in load-bearing steel structures will be required to have CE marking in compliance with NEN-EN 1090. De Boer Snijbedrijf has received NEN-EN 1090 certification for every category up to and including EXC4. This means that De Boer Snijbedrijf can cut to size, bend and drill load-bearing steel structures in the heaviest category.
