Zinc recycling

One of ROTO's core activities is the zinc recycling of zinc ashes (zinc skimmings), zinc scrap and other zinc-containing materials from and for the zinc-processing industry.

Rezinal is a world leader in zinc recycling and is the trendsetter in sustainable zinc recycling. Rezinal produces high quality secundary zinc and by-products such as fine zinc ashes and zinc bottom dross that are used in high value applications.

Rezinal secundary zinc is used in the zinc-processing industry for: hot-dip galvanising, brass production, zinc refining and the production of zinc oxide, zinc powders and chemicals. Rezinal zinc is, among others, reused by Rotocoat.

Zinc oxides and fine zinc ashes are used in animal feed, medicines, cosmetics, paint, batteries and rubber.
